As we approach International Women’s Day 2022, we’d like to take a moment to highlight the work of women who are contributing to raising awareness and providing support and guidance for women’s health and wellbeing.

Marked annually on March 8th, International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also makes a call to accelerating women’s equality. This is when we often witness groups worldwide coming together to celebrate the achievements of women, to raise awareness about women’s equality, lobby for accelerated gender parity or fundraise for female-focused charities.

Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland celebrated the first official International Women’s Day over a century ago, and now the holiday has gone on to gain awareness across the globe as a way to recognise women.

“If we do not lift up women and families, everyone will fall short.” Kamala Harris

There are many women out there who have devoted their careers to address issues within health and wellbeing such as mental health, fertility, body image, community, accessibility, burnout, nutrition, and many other issues facing women today.

Today we’re choosing to highlight their work and celebrate their contributions! We’ve put a list together of our favourite health and well being projects from women today.
