Hello! How are you?
We hope you’re enjoying getting to know HappyCo.
We’ve just started our journey and are laser focussed on our mission to become the market leading employee appreciation and gifting platform. The clue is in the name, HappyCo., so we’re committed to making it fun and easy for companies to show employee appreciation and having a lot of fun while we do! But there’s more to us than that.
HappyCo. was born out of a passion for putting people first, and while we’ve been super busy over the last few months reinventing our brand so that it aligns better with our vision, we’ve also been working on something special that is just as important to us.
At our core, we’ve always known we wanted to contribute to making it easier for employees to achieve workplace happiness and wellbeing, and so far we’re doing a great job! As one of the fastest growing companies in the corporate gifting industry, we’ve helped over 250 client’s deliver 75,000 boxes of happiness. Knowing that the work we do brings joy, happiness and improved wellbeing to our customers is what keeps us ticking – but enough about us.
Alongside our business ambitions, we also set out a goal of donating to a charity that aligned with what we do and is close to our hearts. A partnership with a charity we care about would guarantee the work that we do has benefits for all employees, because we believe every person deserves equal opportunities in the workplace. That’s why we’ve chosen to partner up with the National Autistic Society.
About the National Autistic Society
The National Autistic Society is the UK’s leading charity for people on the autism spectrum and their families. They’ve been providing support, advice, and guidance since 1962 as well as campaigning for improved rights, services, and opportunities to achieve their vision of creating a society that works for autistic people. With services spread across Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, they work tirelessly to help transform lives and change attitudes.
Having spent over fifty years working together with people on the autism spectrum, they use their practical knowledge of autism and apply that to their learning every day. The National Autistic Society aims to open up new possibilities for people with autism and their families, and they encourage the celebration of progress to open up new possibilities and motivate change. With an exceptional amount of work gone into revolutionising the way society understands autism, including running specialist schools, campaigning for improved rights or training companies on being more autism-friendly, they’re dedicated to transforming lives and changing attitudes.
They do a great deal of incredible work and cover a whole range of areas including:
· Adult residential services
· Campaigns
· Training
· Diagnostic services
· Education and children’s services
· Support in the community
· News
· Employment
About our partnership
Donating to charities is hugely rewarding and we encourage anyone who can to do so, not only for the cause but also for yourself!
It’s important to dream big, that’s why in addition to our vision of becoming the market leading employee appreciation and gifting platform, we also hope to to become the largest donor to social charities in the world. There’s no time like the present, and we knew we had to start with a charity whose work was important to us and our team.
The Disability Employment Gap is wide with roughly half of disabled people in work compared to over 80% of non-disabled people. But this gap is even worse for autistic people. Recent data from the Office for National Statistics has revealed that only 22% of audistic adults are in any kind of employment, which is a shocking and upsetting figure that shows that more has to be done to support people with autism in the workplace.
The National Autistic Society provides a variety of work programmes, training and resources to cater for autistic job seekers as well as for employers who want to benefit from hiring a more diverse workforce. They run their own Autism at Work Programme where they work with leading employers to help with recruitment, training and support and resources, as well as campaigning to improve public understanding and transform government policies so they can be better at benefitting autistic people and their families.
We’ve been putting everything in place for our charity partnership for some time now, and we wanted to make sure we got it right.
We’ve set out to donate 2% of all Christmas orders to the National Autistic Society by 1st February 2022.
The goal is that this will be close to £20,000.
We hope that our donation will help contribute to the improvement of the experiences of people with autism and enhance their job opportunities.
A gift with a purpose
If you didn’t already guess, you can play a part in helping us achieve our charitable goals with every gift that you send with us.
Not only are you going to be delivering a box filled with happiness and delight to your employees, attendees or clients, but you’ll also be helping to support the National Autistic Society and the individuals and families who they support.
Together, we can send gifts that your recipients are guaranteed to love, but also help change the lives of many others, and create an even bigger impact on the wider workplace. Now if that’s not the best gift ever, we’re stumped!
